As the mission inside of the World’s Premier Nuclear Facility continues to expand, planning, scheduling, and coordinating work inside of the plant is becoming more complex for Maintenance & Site Services (MSS). As a Work Week Compliance Specialist (WWCS), you would play a pivotal role in tracking tools, materials, and work packages as well as developing processes and reports to identify and track areas for improvement. The selected candidate as a WWCS, will be required to be self-motivated and driven, to accomplish the overall MSS goals and focused missions in completing all necessary work activities. A WWCS also participate in planning meetings for corrective, preventative, and modification tasks, that supports MSS’s campaign/outage schedules.

Work Week Compliance Specialist (Maintenance Support Specialist 2)
The successful candidate will be expected to participate and provide input in schedule development for the planning and execution of all MSS activities based on material availability/receipt dates and M&TE tracking which are a part of maintaining TA-55’s Vital Safety Systems. Specific tasks will include tracking MSS’s calibrated tool (i.e. torque wrenches, backflow meters, gauges, etc.) expiration dates and ensuring they will not conflicted with the supported scheduled jobs, tracking material orders, providing EDD’s and providing scheduling input for all associated maintenance activities based on these orders. The Work Week Compliance Specialist will have the ability to manage priority and emergent work; incorporate an effective feedback process that promotes and ensures continual improvement; facilitate daily open communication with support groups and Work Week Coordinators to ensure compliance, availability, productivity, and effectiveness; participates in outage development; the ability to understand and provide input to the annual MSS schedule; Develop reporting metrics and be responsible for tracking work packages, Initiative/goal tracking and setting, ability to get information and develop AD HOC reports from CMMS/OBI Systems for MSS work orders and equipment.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements
Experience communicating moderate to complex (property and/or disposition management) strategies/information
Demonstrated ability to produce data-driven reports/proposals, present ideas, and successfully challenge, persuade, and build relationships with key contacts outside own organization or area of expertise
Business Systems and Processes:
Experience with database management
Knowledge of facility maintenance and/or construction management including systems engineering design and maintenance, safety basis, configuration management programs, work control, facility control systems, and upgrades and renovations
Working knowledge of government and industry regulations affecting nuclear facility maintenance; knowledge of nuclear facility maintenance preventive maintenance policies and procedures
Fluent in Microsoft Office
Demonstrated experience conducting research, investigating alternative solutions, and recommending solutions on problems affecting work planning
Demonstrated ability developing and using tracking tools and systems
Demonstrated ability to manage frequent interruptions, customer needs, and changing priorities; complete assignments, manage time effectively, and be dependable/available; and facilitate positive outcomes in stressful situations
Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and/or administering methods to improve institutional property management policies/processes
Active Q Clearance
Ability to gain HRP Certification
Full understanding of the Laboratory's maintenance and facility policies, practices, and procedures.
Experience in facility Operations, Engineering and/or Maintenance
- Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation
Location: This position will be physically located in Los Alamos.

Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements
for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance which requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon position, additional authorization to access nuclear weapons information may be required that may or may not be available to dual citizens depending upon the circumstances.
Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. SeeDOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
HRP: This position is subject to the requirements of the DOE Human Reliability Program as specified in 10 Code of Federal Regulation, Part 712, §712.11. These requirements include on going drug and alcohol testing, as well as periodic medical and psychological evaluations.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
