QA/QC Inspector 4 ($71,000 – $112,700)
You will perform moderate to highly-complex inspections on various machined components and assemblies using Quindos. . You will operate/program inspection equipment (Coordinate Measuring Machines, optical systems, rotary and hard gages and other open setup equipment) and perform inspection operations using Quindos.
QA/QC Inspector 5 ($77,300 - $126,000)
In addition to the above duties, PAQ-1 is seeking a senior-level Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) inspector to perform moderate to highly complex inspections on various machined components and assemblies using Quindos. You will program using Quindos and perform inspection operations using Coordinate Measuring Machines, optical systems, rotary gages, hard gages and other open setup equipment. We are building a world class inspection team and are looking for motivated, knowlegable individuals with high level programming and inspection skills.. You will provide training and/or guidance for less-experienced inspectors or technicians.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Technical Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of applied GD&T technical principles, theories, and concepts Advanced knowledge of and demonstrated experience in metrology and inspection operations.
Tools and Equipment: Demonstrated experience performing complex set up, alignments, maintenance, operations, and/or calibration of conventional tools and/or equipment.
Software Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working with various software packages such as Quindos and/or PC-DMIS, Pro/E, SOLIDWORKS, or AutoCAD solid model CAD, and Excel.
CMM Capabilities: Advanced experience with optical/multisensor CMMs. Advanced knowledge and experience with CMM programming and operation for parts with complex features and tight tolerances. Preference for experience using Quindos.
Qualifications: DOE Order 426.2 requires a High School Diploma.
In addition to having detailed proven advanced knowledge of the QA/QC Inspector 4 requirements, the QA/QC Inspector 5 must have the following:
Qualifications: Advanced knowledge of and demonstrated experience in all described in the level 4 above.
Leadership Capabilities: Experience directing inspection activities and providing technical direction for less experienced inspectors, as assigned.
Education/Experience QA/QC 4: Position requires an Associate’s Degree or formal Machinist Apprenticeship Program and 4 years of experience in equivalent machining, inspection, examination, or test activities; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation
Education/Experience QA/QC 5: Position requires an Associate’s Degree or formal Machinist Apprenticeship Program and 6 years of experience in equivalent machining, inspection, examination, or test activities; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
Quality Assurance: Working knowledge of quality assurance standards such as NQA-1, QC-1 (NAP-24), DOE Order 414.1D, and ISO 9001.
Qualifications: Certified Quality Inspector.
Tools and Equipment: Advanced inspection experience using hard gages and other open set-up equipment with experience in researching, specifying, and selecting measurement and test equipment.

Dependent upon position, additional authorization to access nuclear weapons information may be required that may or may not be available to dual citizens depending upon the circumstances.
Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. SeeDOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
HRP: This position is subject to the requirements of the DOE Human Reliability Program as specified in 10 Code of Federal Regulation, Part 712, §712.11. These requirements include on going drug and alcohol testing, as well as periodic medical and psychological evaluations.
426.2: This position is subject to DOE Order 426.2, Personnel Selection, Training, and Qualification Requirements for DOE Nuclear Facilities, which establishes entry-level requirements to ensure candidates selected for specific positions can successfully perform the requirements of the job.
