What You Will Do

The Next Navy Warhead Management Team (NMT) Program Liaison will work with the Q-18 Group Leader and Q-DO Program Managers to document, track, and ensure that all program deliverables are being met on schedule. This includes coordinating internal and external meetings, telecoms, and VTC’s, maintaining a program calendar, creating, tracking and closing internal and external actions, updating work packages, coordinating classification, DoD classification and UK transmissibility reviews and producing weekly and monthly reports to ensure adequate communication and collaboration is achieved inside and outside the laboratory for the NMT work.

Program Management Facilitation:

Demonstrated experience in capturing meeting minutes and action items, and then ensuring that they are communicated and executed as part of the project scope. Demonstrated and proven record of successfully supporting cross-organization teams to ensure communications are enabled and documented. Advanced experience in interacting effectively with all levels of internal personnel as well as external customers to build trust, gain consensus, and resolve conflict. Demonstrated experience of enabling positive outcomes and getting results in a fast-paced, multi-priorities, evolving work environment.

Communication:

Knowledge of and experience in interacting with the weapons complex partners both foreign and domestic. Proven experience with a variety of written correspondence including action item authoring and tracking, program calendars, memos, etc.

Classification:

Knowledge of and experience working with Derivative Classifiers, SAFE, and weapons complex partners to ensure documents are compliant with applicable classification, NTK and transmissibility policies.

Demonstrated experience organizing, coordinating, and hosting classified meetings for high level external customers. Demonstrated experience in working safely and securely in a classified environment, experience with LANL business systems including foreign travel, procurement systems, Oracle, and software collaboration tools.

Education/Experience:

Position requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with the Weapons Engineering and Weapons Physics organizations at LANL.

  • Experience working with DoD customers and other NNSA organizations.
