What You Will Do
Use your professional training development and compliance skills supporting one of the largest and most diverse directorates at Los Alamos National Labs.
Under limited direction, this position will work with customers and stakeholders to design, develop and implement training programs in accordance with applicable regulatory drivers and contractual requirements. Evaluate and assess training program effectiveness. Provide resolutions to a diverse range of moderately complex problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of multiple factors. Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions, determine approach to solutions, plan schedule and arrange own activities in accomplishing objectives.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Demonstrated attention to detail including strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, observational skills and problem solving skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize competing deadlines.
Demonstrated experience working with customers developing training programs with proven ability in reading and interpreting policy and regulation documents. Proven ability providing professional guidance in interpreting regulations and policies to ensure compliance. Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and maintaining documents such as procedures, forms, templates, and/or plans.
Computer Business Systems
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of common computer-based software, course development, eLearning and shared database applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, Adobe Products, Articulate, Oracle, etc.).
Demonstrated ability to be predictive and proactive when working with customers to understand the business, their needs, resolve issues, and apply policy and procedure to successfully achieve business goals. Ability to utilize and build networks effectively across functional and organizational boundaries. Demonstrated experience in managing difficult situations and conflict. Demonstrated ability leading professional communications and meeting with all levels of personnel, including external interfaces and executive management.
Education and Experience
Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 4 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
Basic knowledge of Department of Energy (DOE) training, qualification, and readiness drivers and requirements as they pertain to nuclear facilities.
Program management certification or experience.
Demonstrated ability of content design process including visual design, photography, videography, online design Web, eLearning, and authoring software tools.
Familiarity with integrated safety, formality of operations, compliance, performance, maintenance, engineering, safety basis, readiness, configuration management, work control, quality assurance, feedback and improvement.

Position commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
Term position: Regular-status Laboratory employees applying for term-status positions may retain regular status with approval of the cognizant Principle Associate Director.
